Today’s reading is Acts 23: 23-35
We see the machinery of the Roman Empire at work today. Rome was one of the most well-run governments, honestly, ever. They knew how to make things work. So, Paul is being passed up the chain within his imprisonment. That may seem cold and heartless to us, but here is what is happening, God is using this pagan governmental system to allow the Good News of Jesus Christ to be preached.
Never doubt what can use. Never doubt who God can use. God used Rome, an empire that would be hostile to the faith to spread the faith. God can use anyone and anything. Don’t give up on people or even the world. Because God hasn’t. And He will yet use them.
