In our Psalm today, David gives us words to cling to when we find ourselves in hard times. David, in his life, has had moments of great victory and moments of great trial. Today he gives us two words that we can claim in these moments. First, we can name our pain and hurt to God. Speak it, and give it to Him. Second, we can remember the times in the past when He has been there for us. With these gifts, we can stand in hard times.

Good morning! As we continue our brief time in the Psalms before starting James on Monday, today we reflect on Psalm 31, a powerful prayer of deliverance from David.
David begins by seeking refuge in God, expressing trust in His protection. He acknowledges deep distress, feeling abandoned and scorned, yet remains steadfast in his faith. The Psalm moves between lament and confidence, ultimately declaring that God preserves the faithful.
This Psalm reminds us that it’s okay to cry out to God in our struggles. It encourages us to voice our fears while remembering God’s past faithfulness. If you’re facing uncertainty, know that God hears you and sustains you.
Thanks for joining me today! Have a great weekend, and I’ll see you Monday as we begin our study of James.
