Today’s reading is Romans 16: 17-27
We see Paul continue his thanks to the many that have helped him in his ministry. We also see some final exhortations. Avoid those that cause division and offenses, they aren’t serving the Gospel, they are serving themselves. And he ends with a final encouragement to serve and follow Jesus Christ.
That is what Romans is about in totality. Jesus. It is about knowing him and serving him. That’s the point of this book and the point of all the Bible. It all points to Jesus. All of it.
That’s what our lives should be pointing to as well. Not ourselves. Not our stuff. Not anything that we are about or should be doing. It’s always, only about Jesus. That’s it. That’s what Paul wants us to know. And that’s what we need to know. Jesus.
Today, and each day, may we serve Him. May we love Him. May we follow Him. May it be only, and always, only about Jesus Christ. That’s the point of it all.
