Say Thank You

Today’s reading is Romans 16: 1-16

rootedchristThis passage doesn’t seem like much at first. But in reality, it’s very important, at least it always has been to me. Paul in conclusion in this letter begins saying thank you. He greets and thanks so many people. I think this is so important for us to remember the people in our life that make our life possible. This is actually the passage I preach from on my last Sunday at every church I’ve served. It’s my way of saying thank you. My ministry within the community I’ve served each time would not be possible apart from the many different people that make it possible. I can’t happen alone.

It takes people. It takes a community. This is Paul’s thank you.

Today, who does your thank you go to? Who makes your ministry possible? Who makes your life possible?

Thank God for them today. And, take a moment to thank them as well.
