Today’s reading is Acts 27: 1-12
It is interesting to me what jumps out sometimes when I’m reading scripture. Today as I read this passage, you know what struck me? Julius treated Paul kindly. That’s what the scriptures said about him. Think about all the people in the bible that did great things and their names are mentioned. But here we see Julius mentioned and recorded throughout all of history. What did he do deserving of such a thing? One thing. Kindness.
Kindness goes a long way, doesn’t it? Kindness changes lives, changes hearts. Kindness changes the one who gives it as well as the one who receives it. Kindness isn’t much, it isn’t great and it often may not even be noticed. But it changes people. Today, we see Julius give kindness. Today may we do the same.
