Today’s reading is Acts 26: 19-32
Agrippa was almost persuaded. One of my favorite sermons by John Wesley is entitled “The Almost Christian.” We can get very close to being a Christian, knowing the facts, practicing the religion, even knowing what to say. Knowing the right answers. But yet not fully giving the totality of our life to Jesus. Not really believing in faith through grace. Going through the motions, or having head knowledge with a transformed hearth. That is not faith. That is not Chriaityt. That is the way of Agrippa. That is the almost Christian.
We are saved by grace through faith. Today, do you have faith in Jesus as your savior? Do you follow Him as your Lord? Do you have faith, or are you trying to live by works? We are saved by grace, so one can boast.
We can know it, do it and still not have it. Salvation comes through faith. That’s it. Today, are we truly Christian? Or are we almost Christian?
