What to do With Us?

Today’s reading is Acts 25: 13-22

rootedchristNo one knows what to make of Paul and the resurrection.  This Jesus, who he claims is still alive, was something that just didn’t make sense to the Romans, the Jewish leaders, or anyone. The more Paul talked about Jesus, the resurrection, life after death, the crazier he sounded to people.  And you know what? That’s ok.

Our faith should not be easy to quantify.  Our faith will not, and should not, always make sense.  People should look at us a little funny.  Our belief in and love of Jesus should always make folks scratch their heads, just a little. No one knew what to do with Paul. What a testament to his faith.

May it be the same for us.  May no one know what to do with us.
