Today’s reading is Luke 21: 1-19
Today we see various teaching of Jesus, but I want to focus on what we see in the end of the reading. We see Jesus talking with His disciples about His return. We see Him talking about the coming kingdom. We, often, when we think about this, get scared or worried. What will it be like? What will happen? Should we worry? Should we be afraid? Look at how Jesus talks about it. He talks about it with an air of confidence. He talks about His return with hope.
His reminder it this – God will take care of His people. Don’t be afraid. Don’t fear. God has this. Don’t worry. Don’t fret. God hasn’t forgotten us. It’s tempting to think that He has, sometimes. It is tempting to believe that God has forgotten us. We can feel overwhelmed with worries, with fears, with doubts, with concerns, with so much. We see today, though, this truth.
God hasn’t forgotten us.
God hasn’t forgotten you. No matter where you are today, God has not forgotten you. Remember that. Know that. Trust that. God hasn’t forgotten.
