Keep Walking

The book of Proverbs in the Old Testament is one of my favorite books in the Bible.  It’s just full of good, practical advice.  Just really good and solid words for the living of life.  When we read them, it takes so much of the complexity out of life, and just gives us the simple truth for a well lived life.

Listen to what we are told today in Proverbs 4: 25-27:

25 Let your eyes look directly forwards,
and your gaze be straight before you.
26 Keep straight the path of your feet,
and all your ways will be sure.
27 Do not swerve to the right or to the left;
turn your foot away from evil.

22458119640_8b4c07c673_bToday, good words.  Just keep walking.  Walk straight.  Walk with purpose.  Walk in and walk towards truth.  Don’t turn your eyes, keep looking forward.

Stay on the path of truth.  Keep your foot away from evil.

Follow and do what is right.  Now, how do we know what is right?  How do we know what we should do?  How do we know which way to go?

Seek God through His word.  Seek Him through prayer.  Seek Him through others that love Him.  Seek Him through worship.  Seek Him through service.

As we seek Him, He will reveal Himself to us.  He will.

Follow the path that He lays before us.  Keep focused.  Keep walking.  Keep listening.  Keep your eyes upon Him.  He will not lead you astray.

It’s not complicated.  But it’s not easy.  Stay focused on Him today.  Keep walking.  And He will lead you exactly where it is that He needs you to be.

Keep walking.
